It is a water thinnable putty, specially formulated for filling of dents, surface imperfections and levelling on primed wall/surfaces prior to application of topcoat.
It can be used as a better alternative to Plaster Of Paris (POP), as POP is highly porous, hygroscopic and develops patchiness & loss of sheen/gloss due to the absorption of binder part of the paint film.
Information :
- Sand the surface with sand paper no.180 to remove loose particles,paint,dust cracked & flaked paint and wipe clean.
- Smoothen the surface by filling dents with thin coats Scot Acrylic Putty by Trowel, Putty Knife/blade and allow drying for 4-6 hrs.
- Sand with Sand Paper 180 and wipe clean.Apply another coat of primer.
- Sand the surface with sand paper 320 and wipe clean. Apply the topcoat.
- Acrylic putty comes in paste form of required workability.
- Hence, there is no need to dilute with water, but if required dilute them add plenty of water if required.
- When mixed to proper consistency,approx. 20-25 sq.feet per kg. for upto 1.5 mm thickness in 2 coats.
